I was very happy that Carmmal and Daryl chose me to capture their engagement photos and be their wedding photographer. They picked the small historic town of Oysterville Washington for the preparation and ceremony. The vernacular architecture of the buildings were impressive and set the scene for a beautiful wedding location.
This small town was founded in 1854, and used to be a boomtown, shipping it's vast supply of oysters to California for gold prospectors. Now it is known as the Oysterville Historic District.
The old red and white church is true to form, with no electricity. Yes indeed, with heat coming from a potbelly stove and the lighting is all by oil lamp.
Bridal prep was at the Oysterville Guesthouse, which is a nice coastal house with plenty of aged wood. Lot's of great surfaces for photographing the dress, ring and accompanying bridal pieces.
Carmmal used some very fun costal-themed hair pieces.
Their dog Titan even got dressed up for the big day.
You simply can't beat having a happy bride to be with her bridesmaids.
A bride and great window light always go great together.
The groom Daryl, had a great coastal-themed boutonniere.
The guest house and church were in walking distance, so the bridal party made their move down mainstreet.
Space within the church is very tight with no center aisle. The interior finishes are very nice and made for a great setting.
Plenty of laughs during the ceremony.
Carmmal and Daryl's handfasting ceremony.
And then time for the first kiss.
A couple of more detail photos of the boutonniere and bouquet.
Lot's of beautiful color in the flowers all around, but I don't think the couple were really paying much attention.
Another great kiss.
Congratulations Carmmal and Daryl on your beautiful wedding and future life together.
